Live Q&A workshop for new therapists
You went to school to help people, not to build websites or figure out how to market yourself. But everyone faces the same challenge once they're out: how do you get found by the clients who need you, with a limited budget, limited time, and limited energy. A live, small-group Q&A, not a course. Bring your own questions and ask them out loud.
Kept small, 5 to 8 people, so there's room for real questions. Live on a Google Meet, with a short replay for paid registrants who can't make it.
01 Who this is for
Built specifically for therapists in their first few years of private practice in Canada.
Grad school teaches modalities and ethics, not how prospective clients actually find a therapist. Nobody handed you a plan for this part, and you're figuring it out on your own time, after hours.
Between caseload, supervision, insurance paperwork and everything else a new practice requires, there isn't much left over for marketing, in money or in hours. You need to know what actually matters first.
You've read conflicting advice about directories, SEO, Google Business Profile and "AI optimization," and you can't always tell what's real from what's someone selling you something.
You've sat through webinars that were secretly 45-minute ads. This one isn't: the content stands on its own, and there's exactly one low-pressure mention of SessionSpark, near the end.
02 The details
03 What's covered
A short walkthrough of each (about 25 to 30 minutes total), then open Q&A for the rest of the session. Ask about your own specific situation.
Referrals, directories like Psychology Today, and the real difference between marketing you rent and marketing you own. A simple way to decide what's worth your limited time this month, and what can genuinely wait.
Further reading: Getting clients beyond Psychology Today →The handful of documented, doable-in-month-one basics, and which popular "requirements" (a certain posting frequency, an exact word count) aren't backed by anything Google has actually said.
Further reading: SEO for Therapists in Canada →The real eligibility test: do you meet clients in person at a fixed, staffed address, and are you comfortable with that address being public. Not every practice should have one, and that's fine.
Further reading: Does your practice qualify? →Nothing about an existing website needs to be torn up for AI search. A few things confirmed in the platforms' own documentation, next to a couple of "AI SEO" claims sold with no documentation behind them at all.
Further reading: How therapists can show up in AI search →If you take away nothing else from this session, it's this: the handful of things one landing page genuinely needs, who you help, how someone reaches you, and how it's structured so search can find it. One clear page beats ten polished-looking gaps.

$39 CAD reserves one of 9 seats. You'll get the Google Meet link by email ahead of time.
About 25 to 30 minutes covering where clients actually come from, SEO, Google Business Profile, AI search and website ownership, with real Canadian sources named as we go.
The rest of the session is yours. Unmute and ask about your own situation. If the honest answer is "you don't need to change anything," that's what you'll hear.
Paid registrants who can't attend live get a 48 to 72 hour replay window. It isn't posted publicly afterward.
